Extra Extra! After a big week in LA shooting music festival sunglass trends for Extra TV with Sunglass Hut. I took my shades on the road and some of the top trends and headed to Palm Springs to Coachella.
Home of great music, parties and fashion – what more can you ask for? Killer sunglasses? Beyonce, maybe? Jeremy Scott announcing a Moschino x H&M collaboration? Revolve creating their own music festival? Create & Cultivate continuing to be epic and empowering women. Here were some of my highlights and sunglass diary:
Day 1 Friday, The Look: Vogue Eyewear x Gigi Hadid Round Sunglasses

For the first day we took it easy and started at the Lemonhead Desert Glow House getting our hair braided and filled with glitter before heading to the UGG Australia brunch at the Fredrick Loewe Estate. There we drooled over all the fuzzy sandals that UGG just launched for summer and played in the paper flower garden while eating cotton candy and enjoying many beverages. At night we hit up the Rhonda Queen of the Desert party sponsored by Ray-Ban for some dancing and late night fun.

Saturday always serves up the hottest parties. After a late night with Ray-Ban we took the morning slow hanging out at the American Express Platinum House, where Charlie (my pomeranian) stole the show (or was in good competition to with all the amazing guests and Republic Records artists performing). Open to Platinum members, the Platinum House was open for two days at The Parker Hotel and featured artist installations by Daniel Arsham, Makeup by Milk Makeup, a crystal reader (you know I was all over that), and somehow Charlie and I ended up on the cover for the big announcement that they are launching a new credit card for jet-setters — read all about it HERE.
We then stopped into the Levi’s party, to hear Snoop Dog perform, unfortunately they hit capacity so we spent his performance outside listening through the door. On the up side we made it in for the personalization denim jacket session and for Ice Cream sandwiches which pretty much made the wait all worth it. Our karma only went downhill from there with the Fenty Puma x Rihanna party closing it’s doors two hours early because of capacity issues and stopped running shuttles to the house — literally this was the year of over-Coachella population! So note to self for next year, go at the start of a party or don’t bother. On the up-side this gave us time to change and get ready for our favorite time of the year, and undoubtably the best party of Coachella every year, Neon Carnival.
Saturday Look #2: Neon Carnival

It gets chilly at night in the desert so I was ready for sweatshirt weather! Levi’s hosted the 9th annual Neon Carnival which went even bigger this year! Usually it’s at the Thermal Airport but they expanded to a bigger location this year and it was packed, all night long (usually it clears up after the bar closes at 2am), not this year! Batiste did a Dry Shampoo station, Don Julio and Golden Road Brewery took over the bar.
We had a solid crew there so went crazy over the rides and were all over the bumper cars and ferris wheel before hitting the dance floor.
Day 3 Sunday, The Look: Miu Miu Embellished Sunglasses

We started the day at brunch with Galore party hosted on a ranch. Being around animals in Palm Springs was pretty epic. We then headed to lunch at Norma’s at the Parker Hotel (I can’t be in Palm Springs and not go there for at least one meal. While we were there we stopped back into the American Express Platinum House to relax before a quick stop into the Ace Hotel for the Adidas do Over party and Free People pop-up shop — I needed a hat, badly before my flight that night to Tulum.
